After having inherited Petriolo\u2019s civic properties, which his father had bought in 1804, Giuseppe Sabbioni finally moved to Petriolo. There, he was elected Head of the City Administration from 1815 till the Unification of Italy. He gained the respect and the affection of the citizens of Petriolo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sabbioni was an expert of Petriolo\u2019s historical events. Between 1871 and 1873, he published at his own expense two big volumes titled <em>\u201cIl castello di Petriolo-Piceno<\/em>\u201d. It contained historical notes and statistics on Petriolo, and many unreleased documents. <em>\u201cIl castello di Petriolo-Piceno\u201d<\/em> is a fine work, rich in historical knowledge and documents, collected through Sabbioni\u2019s shrewd activity of research. He did copious and profound documentary research, so that his work was highly appreciated by the scholars of that time for its accuracy and completeness.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column Camilla Castellani (Born in Treia on August 6<sup>th<\/sup>, 1786 \u2013 Died in Petriolo on February 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 1862) on October 24<sup>th<\/sup>, 1818. Daughter of the noble marquis Federico Castellani from Treia and countess Anna Simonetti from Cingoli, Camilla\u2019s most powerful relative was cardinal Francesco Saverio Castiglioni, who was elected Pope with the name Pio VIII (1829-1830).<\/p>\n<p>Giuseppe Sabbioni and Camilla Castellani had two daughters: Marianna, nicknamed Anna, who was born in Fermo on September 8<sup>th<\/sup>, 1819 and Orsola, born in Fermo on January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 1824. Marianna married the count Francesco Cilleni Nepis from Assisi; Orsola married the knight Federico Rinaldi from Citt\u00e0 della Pieve.<\/p>\n<p>Sabbioni died in Petriolo on January 8<sup>th<\/sup>, 1874 at the age of 84.
